Introduction

What’s up, everyone?!

I think it’s safe to report that we’ve missed everyone Apex Current has on ice, more or less, while our Founder & CEO, Corbitt Chandler, has been off working on his new startup (more on that below), but we’re happy to say that we’re getting back into action!

Why? We’re glad you asked… 😉

Too Much Opportunity To Turn Down

The main reason is that we’ve had former clients reach back out to us after taking a nap for the past 6 months requesting use our Digital Marketing Services again. We couldn’t pass up this opportunity and while Corbitt remains focused on his new venture, Apex Current getting back to the action with a phoenix-like rising. We’re scaling up separately, allowing Corbitt to allocate 10 - 15% of his time on strategy and implementation for us but allow profits to go back completely into the business to make key hires as we grow.

This is the best of both worlds because it removes Corbitt’s income from our books, allowing stronger hires to step in and support client growth. All the while, Corbitt providing strategy on our side and continuing to focus on his new startup venture and making that business all it can be.

More to The Story

Apex Current’s meteoric rise began in 2017 when Corbitt Chandler began consulting for brands and businesses while the VP of Marketing at Iron Tribe Fitness. His consulting business grew so quickly that he decided to exit his role at Iron Tribe, focusing what was to become Apex Current, full time. He founded Apex Current as an LLC officially n his garage in August of 2017.

Fast forward 12 months to August of 2018 and Apex Current had transformed into a full-blown boutique digital marketing agency. An agency hot off the heels of a Small Business of the Year Recognition by the BBJ, client billings of $127k/month recurring revenue, a dedicated office space at The Tower building, 7 employees and Corbitt on his way to being honored as one of Birmingham’s Top CEO’s of the Year on December 6th, 2018.

So, why on earth was Corbitt ready to pack it up come June of 2019? Because he stumbled on a new venture, forming strong-held beliefs in what it could become as a national and ultimately global business opportunity. He quickly proved his startup concept. raised funds early stage funds and began transitioning clients over to agencies who could serve their needs.

Fast forward to today and that startup is going great, but the reality is, Apex Current continues to prove a need the B2B marketplace desires. So much so that even since Corbitt’s announcement, Apex Current’s website continued to get new business inquiries on a daily basis from companies across the country. Ultimately, this opportunity ended up a challenge to pass up and with Corbitt not needing any sort of income paid by Apex Current, allowed for us to focus our efforts on solidifying the right clients and making key hires.

Faster Than a Speeding Bullet…

This has all happened pretty quickly (in the some odd past 30 days) and our first step out of the ice, we’ve reignited partnerships back up Birmingham-based companies like Medjet and new brands across a variety of industries based in cities like New Jersey, Los Angeles and, most recently, Australia.

As excited as we are about this early momentum, we will be taking this new direction stepping along a bit more carefully this time around, only partnering with clients that provide a solid business justification for us and allow for, not only, scale, but delivering the type of results our clients expect.
